SWEPCO 101 Moly Grease

SWEPCO  101 Moly Grease continues to be one of our best-selling grease for many years. It has proven performance and it still rises above the rest.

No-Melt

The “No-Melt” properties of SWEPCO 101 Moly Grease has been used in brick kilns, concrete plants, foundries, wood kilns, and paving equipment for many years. It stays where you put it and withstands the heat. The recommended upper limit for the 101 is 260°C (500°F) due to the base oils will evaporate above this temperatures and more frequent lubrication is required.

SWEPCO 101 Moly Grease has also found service in CV joints and U-joints on automotive applications along with bearings in the wheel hubs for off-road and racing vehicles. With its wide temperature range and Moly protection it is a preferred lubricant for 5th wheels. It moves without thickening down to -34°F (-30°F) and the Moly attaches itself to the metal surfaces providing extra wear and extreme pressure protection.

Moly

Molybdenum Disulfide (Moly) provides up to 500,000 pounds per square inch extreme pressure and wear protection.  Moly is naturally attracted to the metal surface and will not scrape off thereby providing extra protection even if the bulk of the grease is removed.

SWEPCO 101 Moly Grease contains Lubium™, a synergistic proprietary blend of ingredients that provide rust and corrosion resistance, anti-oxidants for long life, and additional anti-wear properties. This blend of Moly, performance additives, and unique thickener is why SWEPCO 101 continues to be a performance leader. Purging or clean out is highly recommended when switching to SWEPCO 101 Moly Grease.
